Generating an Open Edition
In this article, you will learn how to generate an Open Edition collection with Mintpad's Generator.
It is important that you have already prepared the artwork. If you still need to generate your images, you should follow the tutorial "Generating Unique NFTs".
Example folder structure of a 1/1 NFT collection.
1. Create a folder with the collection name. In our example, we called it "My Open Edition". 2. In that folder, create another folder with the collection name (in our example we called it "My NFT Collection").
Normally you create folders like "Background", "Eyes", "Hat" etc. but since you only have one NFT artwork you can create one folder with the collection name. 3. Place your artwork as a PNG in that folder. 4. Duplicate your artwork as many times as you need. For example, if you make a collection of 100 NFTs, you must copy your artwork 100 times. 5. You can now upload the parent folder (in our example the folder "My NFT Collection", the one at the left, not the middle one) in the Mintpad generator, You can now start generating the metadata and the number of NFTs. A quick tip: on mac you can easily rename images in bulk. By selecting everything and then right-click>rename.
